Megève
Created in 1922 by the Baroness Maurice de Rothschild and designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the 18-hole Golf du Mont d’Arbois is one of the oldest mountain golf courses in existence. Situated at an average altitude of 1320 metres, enchanting spruce and birch line the course. Despite the altitude, it is a fairly flat course; slopes are smooth and the course is very well-maintained.
Chamonix
Designed by the world famous Robert Trent Jones Sr, the creation of the 18-hole golf course Chamonix goes back to the 1930's. It was proposed by some of the hotel owners (the Savoy, the Alpes, and the Simond) to provide interest for their English guests spending the summer in Chamonix.
Nestled in the majestic setting between the Mont-Blanc and the Aiguilles Rouges mountain ranges, the Golf Club of Chamonix is a real treasure.
